Hi, I’m Tracie Guild. Welcome to my little corner where you’ll find the musings of a 40-something adult child of an alcoholic (ACOA), helper, peacemaker & introvert. I’m a left & right brain thinker facing mid-life head-on. How’s that for labels? Let’s add one more: Sober since 2.20.18. More here…

My Instagram World

We only get to spend two nights a week together, so I certainly don’t need Valentine’s Day to miss him, but I do miss him. My very own Lloyd Dobbler...I love and adore this guy. . #valentine #bemine #lloyddobbler #sayanything #onelove #misshim #myguy #lovehim
I choose to honor this day and every day ahead with love for myself. Yes, loving others and showing that love for others is vital and something to be embraced, but being loving to ourselves is just as necessary. It has been hard at times to love myself, especially after a relapse, but I know that if I didn't have that love then I would end up right back on the other side of that bottle. Be kind to yourself today, take a moment out to give back to you. . Slowly but surely, I am finding my way back to my path. Today, I put out my latest (2nd) newsletter after starting that project back in October. I am ready to get this thing moving again! Please visit the link in my profile to subscribe and receive it straight to your inbox, but I've also included a link to today's newsletter for your viewing pleasure and more reminders to embrace the love of YOU! . #love #loveyou #loveyourself #onelove #valentinesday #gratitude #sober #soberlife #sobriety #relapse #bekind #kindness #writing #community #ownyourtruth #shareyourstory #thetruthofbeingus

My other Syds are still packed away somewhere and I missed seeing him around. It was time for a little periwinkle to join my meditation altar. I thought he was fitting...in addition to inspiring us to speak our truth, periwinkle is mean to “soothe and calm the nerves, especially for those with heightened sensitivities.” Welcome, Syd! . #getmonked #altar #meditation #meditate #calm #syd #speakyourtruth #periwinkle #gratitude #sober #sobriety #thesuburbanmonk
I was a little inspired by @natha_campanella_astrology and realized that I haven’t shown my face in a while. So here I am, still hanging in there and feeling really good, even without the smile. It’s there underneath, but for some reason smiles and selfies never seem to mix for me. Also, still house hunting up here in Michigan and, oh, by the way...it’s still cold. . #selfie #glasses #sober #sobriety #soberlife #soberface #stillsober #wheresthesmile #michigan #happy #grateful #catchup #itsme
